China Population Centers

Population centers around the world develop for a variety of reasons. Furthermore, often these population centers are more than just big cities, they are megaopolis centers with massive populations and massive production and consumption requirements. Identify the population Centers of your region identifying their extent, location, reason for existence and uniqueness for their country. How or why did they come about. What unique circumstances contributed to their development. Be sure to find a good map indicating the population distribution of your region they will be more than one center in each instance.

  6. China has a very large population. They made a one child per couple rule, however, that has kept the population under control. Therefore the new generations are smaller and filled with single siblings. The current population is 1,303,701,000. Beijing, chinas capital, carries 10,849,000 people of that total population.

  8. An example of mandated population control is China's one-child policy in which having more than one child is made extremely unattractive. China's population policy has been credited with a very significant slowing of China's population growth which had been very high before the policy was implemented. It has come under criticism that the implementation of the policy has involved forced abortions and forced sterilization. However, while the punishment of "Unplanned" pregnancy is a fine, both forced abortion and forced sterilization can be charged with intentional assault, which is punished with up to 10 years' imprisonment.

  11. Heres a cool map to demonstrate the populations of the providences in China.
    http://flickr.com/photos/vlkr/1920427328/

For example, the country of Cameroon is in the place of China's Xinjiang providence. This means that the country of Cameroon's is about the same as the Chinese providence's.
Cameroon's pop. is around 18,467,692 people. So more or less than 18,467,692 people live in the region of Xinjiang.
