  1. Opps, by mistake I posted at the wrong site...
Well, China has one of the world’s oldest people and continuous civilizations, China is located in Eastern Asia, it borders the East China Sea, Korea Bay, Yellow Sea, and South China Sea, between North Korea and Vietnam (http://www.chinacircle.biz/files/images/Map_of_china.thumbnail.jpg). As far as climate, China lies mainly in the northern temperate zone under the influence of monsoons. Other than that, China is a beautiful place, with ancient structures and in my opinion, looks like a nice place to visit for sites and culture.
I think that The Great Wall would be a magnificent place to visit, simply because when your walking on the wall you realize that the people of China built this with their hands and sweat. Imagine walking on a wall made hundreds of years ago to keep barbarians out and protect the cities.

  2. The Olympic Stadium in Beijing is distinctive to China. This stadium was built for the 2008 Olympics and stands strong today for further use. The stadium was built to be eco-friendly. In order to do this they built it without a strictly enclosed shell. Even though there is no shell there is shelter for the audience and athletes in case of weather troubles.

  3. China's expanded links to Africa have created a discourse of how to characterize those ties. Western political forces and media have criticized every aspect of China's activities in Africa, while Chinese, with significant support from Africans, have mounted a spirited defense.China's links with Africa distinctive, including China's aid and migration policies, the distinctive "Chinese model" of foreign investment and infrastructure loans, and the development model known as the "Beijing Consensus." It argues that particular aspects of China's links with Africa make the People's Republic of China (PRC) seem a lesser evil than the West in terms of support for Africa's development and respect for African nations.

  4. The Great Wall of China is one of the most distinctive architectural structures in China. It is a series of stone and earthen fortifications built between the 6th century BC and the 16th century to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from Xiongnu attacks during the rule of successive dynasties.

The Great Wall stretches over approximately 6,400 km (4,000 miles) from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west, along an arc that traces the southern edge of Inner Mongolia, but stretches to over 6,700 km (4,160 miles) in total. At its peak, the Ming Wall was guarded by more than one million men. It has been estimated that somewhere in the range of 2 to 3 million Chinese died as part of the centuries-long project of building the wall. There is nothing quite like it anywhere else in China, or even the world.

    The Great Wall

The Great Wall stretches over approximately 6,400 km (4,000 miles) from Shanhaiguan in the east to Lop Nur in the west.

is a series of stone and earthen wall in China, built, rebuilt, and maintained between the 6th century BC and the 16th century.

It was built to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from Xiongnu attacks during the rule of successive dynasties.

During the Ming Dynasty, many bricks were used in many areas of the wall, same with materials such as tiles, lime, and stone.

One interesting fact:It has been estimated that somewhere in the range of 2 to 3 million Chinese died as part of the centuries-long project of building the wall

  8. When we think of China we think of the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Yellow River, or the great city of Beijing (recently home of the 2008 Summer Olympics). These define China. People would not know the difference between the many Asian countries if it weren't for their defining features. And they are some of the most beautiful places in the world attracting tourist from all around the world to capture the history preserved in these places.

  11. Both the Yellow river and the Great Wall of China define China in a geographical manner. The Yellow river or the Huang He river as the Chinese know it, is the 2nd largest apart from the Yangtze River which is also in China. Water flows into the Yellow river from numerous other branches of water and is the lifeline for the Chinese farmlands. Also, many people would say that the Great Wall is the most distinctive feature in China. Spanning 6,700 kilometers around China, the Great Wall is an amazing site to see.

  12. China is made up of fertile lowlands, plains, mountains, and subtropical areas. One example of China's geography is the Gobi Desert. The Gobi is the largest desert region in Asia. It covers parts of Northern and Northwester China, and of Southern Mongolia. The Gobi is made up of several distinct ecological and geographic regions. Another example of a desert in china is the Taklamakan Desert. The Taklamakan Desert is a desert in Central Asia. It has subtropical forests; the terrain in the west is rugged and high altitude. It is bounded by the Kunlun Mountains to the South and Pamir Mountains and Tian Shan to the West and North. Taklamakan is known for one of the sandiest deserts in the world, ranking 15th in size, in ranking of the worlds non-polar deserts.

  14. Beijing Opera is one of China's most recent theatrical forms. This opera from Beijing comes from twelfth century ago, when opera was performed in the huge public theaters of Hangzhou. However, opera is a wonderful art that is found throughout the area.
